Aveiro, city on the west coast of Portugal.

​I was totally enchanted by the magic of this city that seems straight out of a story. I automatically thought of illustrating their beautiful colorful houses that were painted like this to be recognized by fishermen in the distance.

If you visit Aveiro you can also see its canals, navigated by colorful boats called Moliceiros, traditionally used to collect seaweed and today transport tourists.

The illustration is used to create the cover of a Portuguese match brand and printing on t-shirts.
